Abstract Album with mounted photographs. Photos apparently taken in South American countries other than Brazil. Includes residential buildings, family groups, horses and carriages, gauchos with cattle, and a landscape taken at Isla de Lobos - on the Atlantic coast of Uruguay - showing sea lions on a rocky seashore. There are many blank pages in album. Bound in green cloth with leather corners and spine; title "Amerique du Sud, 1886" in gilt on cover; marbled end papers.

Collection of Recorded Popular Brazilian Music

Abstract This is a collection of 83 popular commercial Brazilian songs, circa 1930 to 1950. Over twenty-one song types are represented from sambas, choros, chotes, boleros, beguines, frevos, and other regional styles, to the valsa and polka. The collection provides a good sampling of Brazilian music of that era.

There are approximately 126 articles, largely xeroxed from both English and Portuguese sources. Included are also copies of essays written by students.
